The Best Antique Shops on Cherokee Antique Row

Cherokee Street might be best known for its vibrant nightlife scene, great restaurants, and cute cafes, but it is also St. Louis’s capital for all things vintage.

In fact, this street is known locally as “Antique Row” – it spans six blocks and is home to over 30 antique stores!

While we didn’t cover all 30 stores in this guide, we did cover a few of our favorites below!

Hammond’s Antiques and Books

Hammond’s Antiques isn’t just an antique store; it’s an experience. Nestled in a historic building built in 1896, Hammond’s sells a vast array of books, vintage costume jewelry, antiques, vintage paper, and historical posters.

With boldly patterned carpet, massive bookcases, and vintage wall accents, the ambiance fits the inventory.

As one of Cherokee Street’s hidden gems, Remember When Antiques is a shop where you could easily spend an entire afternoon! This cozy, family-owned store has an incredible selection of vintage toys, collectibles, furniture, and sterling silver.

Elder’s Antiques

Offering a wide selection of antique furniture, art, and china, Elder’s Antiques is one of the best shops on Cherokee Antique Row. Almost everything you’ll find here is in fantastic condition, so you won’t have to worry about sifting through any junk!

Retro 101/Cherry Bomb Vintage

If you’re in the market for vintage clothing and accessories, there’s no better place to shop than Retro 101/Cherry Bomb Vintage. 

Here, you’ll find a massive array of antique clothes, jewelry, hats, bags, accessories, and even men’s clothing. Almost everything in this store is in great shape with great prices!

Purple Cow

While I’m not sure where this shop earned its name, Purple Cow is one of the best places on Cherokee for unique vintage finds. You can expect to browse through several eclectic goods, like retro neon signs, old apothecary jars, old-fashioned printing plates, fortune teller relics, and more.

This shop is truly a treasure trove of hidden gems!

Riverside Architectural Antiques

If you want to add some vintage architecture statement pieces to your home, look no further than Riverside Architectural Antiques.

This old-timey shop has been around since 1979 and is a great place to find vintage doors, lighting, shutters, appliances, and more.

The Best Antique Stores in St. Charles

If you don’t mind driving about 40 minutes out of the city, then St. Charles is another excellent place to browse through antique shops.

The charming and historic downtown St. Charles area is home to dozens of antique stores!

French Town Antique Mall

This antique mall might be on the smaller side, but it is a great spot to hunt for unbeatable deals! French Town Antique Mall specializes in vintage home decor; they get new shipments every week, so don’t forget to check back in if you’re looking for something in particular. 

Two Chicks Vintage Marketplace

Two Chicks Vintage Marketplace is one of the cutest antique shops in St. Charles – not to mention, the selection is fantastic. This 8,000-square-foot antique store has a unique inventory; you can find goodies like home decor accents, repurposed furniture, farmhouse accents, and boutique items.

Centuries Past Antiques

Located in the basement of a historic building, Centuries Past Antiques is a goldmine for collectibles, memorabilia, unique decor items, and antiques.

Mad Hatter Antiques & More

The Hill Antique Market

Situated in The Hill, St. Louis’s premier Italian neighborhood, The Hill Antique Market is one of the most unique spots for antique hunting in St. Louis – you might just need an entire weekend here! 

In addition to this market’s 75 antique vendors, you can also have lunch at the onsite Oliva Cafe, a drink at Wine Down Wednesdays, attend an event at La Verona, or turn it into an overnight getaway at Oliva Lofts. 

Treasure Aisles Antique Mall

Established in 1997, Treasure Aisles Antique Mall features 128 different antique vendors offering everything from retro furniture to vintage collectibles.

This market is one of the best, if not the best, antique malls in St. Louis!

TFA The Future Antiques

The Future Antiques is your one-stop shop for everything mid-century modern! 

As the largest mid-century modern antique store in the Midwest, you can find a range of home goods, like furniture, lighting, artwork, and glass goods. This shop even sells vintage cars from the 50s, making this a really fun spot for browsing!

Little Shop Around the Corner

Not only does this shop have a great selection, but it’s also for a great cause! Little Shop Around the Corner resells vintage goods donated to the Missouri Botanical Garden; then, the proceeds go back to the garden to fund research and educational resources.
